“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 5:13
I’m so excited you’re here! As a woman, no matter what phase of life you’re in, it’s hard to fill your cup, and it’s easy to keep trying to give and live from an empty one. Life calls, distractions await, and so do your obligations. So. Many. Obligations. And how is it to-do lists only grow? If you’re anything like me, this chaos can throw you off-kilter and make you question your effectiveness – or worse, make you believe you’re not enough woman to do the things that need to get done, or, even just plain enough at all.
Unfortunately, the world reinforces that message in film, print, and social media. Our Facebook and Instagram feeds are filled with beautiful snapshots of people’s lives – lives that look nothing like our own. The never-ending onslaught of “perfection” can convince us those snapshots represent reality, but they don’t. They’re just staged moments from the middle of the poster’s chaos that create an illusion of an ideal that doesn’t exist.
Fortunately, you’re not alone in this! The Greatest News ever is that you have a God who doesn’t want you to live in the throes of comparison and self-doubt! You have a Father who loves you completely and unconditionally and wants to fill you until your cup cannot hold anymore. He wants to fill you with His blessings until you overflow so much that His goodness spills out into the world, bringing His healing, joy, and peace to others. He wants you to walk boldly, and to fulfill His plan for you with joy and gratitude in your hearts. My calling with this blog is to help you do that: to overflow to you from what he has given me and remind you of your worth and value in His eyes. Through God, you are enough.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” – Ephesians 2:10
